ACTIVITIES SRMCM conducts numerous activities under NSS after every three months. Students participate whole heartedly in all the activities of NSS. They take part in all types of manual work like cleanliness of the college premises, decoration, plantation etc. Students are encouraged to conduct literary classes, first aid classes, story telling, knowledge of traffic rules in nearby villages. Villagers are given tips on the importance of personal cleanliness, pure drinking water, balanced diet. The SRMCM staff also accompanies the students. SRMCM holds blood donation camp after every three months. It is very popular among the students. Students enthusiastically donate blood and even the executive director of SRMCM, Er. Pankaj Agarwal and the staff come forward to donate blood. Through these camps students realise their duty as a human being. Every year the staff and students pledge to donate their eyes in eye pledging.
Blood Donation & Eye Pledging Camp-Shri Ramswaroop Memorial College of Engineering & Management, Tewariganj, Faizabad Road, Lucknow organized 4th BLOOD DONATION & EYE PLEDGING CAMP at college campus, with the help of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (Blood Bank), Lucknow & Lucknow Eye Bank, Lucknow on 29th August 2009 at 10 a.m., to motivate youth & faculty members for social service activities. A motivational talk was delivered by Dr. K. P. Singh, Incharge, Blood Bank, & Dr. Anil Kumar, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Lucknow.Dr. Rupesh Kumar of Lucknow Eye Bank also delivered a motivational lecture for Eye Pledging. Prof. (Maj.) P. M. Srivastava, Director (Corporate Relations & Placement) motivated all the students, faculty & staff members of SRMCEM who himself has donated blood over 45 times and his 9 diseased family members have donated their eyes. The college who have strength of over 300 faculty & staff and 4500 students have pledged to meet all the requirement of blood whenever required by them and their family and they also have plan to adopt Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for their emergency blood requirement. In this camp, 30 faculty members /students, including Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Executive Director of SRMCEM, donated blood.
